Mr. Mbaka is an Audit Manager at Lameck Ogembo &Asociates.He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Kenya Methodist University with a speciality in Accounting and Finance. He is currently undertaking Masters training specializing in strategic Management at KEMU. He is also qualified accountant (CPA) with over 25years working experience. He previously worked for Waumini Sacco Society Web:http://www.wauminisacco.com (Catholic Church Microfinance program)as an Accountant where he was involved in rebranding of the Sacco and development of the Sacco products to meet member’s needs. While at Waumini Robert was involved in development of organizational policy manuals, review of society bylaws to open up the common bond and attended various management training courses in credit management organized by KUSCCO and KNFC.He was involved in the formation of Meru Diocese Sacco and Koi Sacco Society ltd. Mr. Mbaka also worked for Koinonia Community (www.koinoniacommunity.org)an International NGO funded by multinational Donors and European Union that manages projects for the less privileged in society the “Children” in Zambia, Madagascar and Southern Sudan. Robert played key role in implementation of policy manuals and financial reporting systems to the donor’s satisfaction as a Programs- Finance and Accounts. Before joining Lameck Ogembo and associates, Robert worked for Kenya Alliance for Advancement of children as Finance and administration Manager (www.kaacr@kaacr.com). He is well versed with strategic planning, Cooperate governance, Donor reporting requirements, project management, business survey and end line evaluations. He is also credited with computerisation of accounts with modern software’s i.e Microsoft Navision and Xero.Mr. Mbaka has also consulted under KARDS (Research consultancy firm that works for organizational development in the Horn of Africa) and provided audit and accountancy services for CBOs, FBOs and Self Help Groups in Nairobi among other initiatives.
